App Store Keyword Research and Rank Tracking
Honest ASO finds App Store keywords people type, scores how hard each one is from the live top 10, and tracks where your app ranks in each country.

What you get
- Ideas people type
- Ideas come from App Store autocomplete and Apple Ads suggestions, so each one is a phrase people search for.
- Popularity from Apple only
- When Apple Ads has a popularity score for a term, you see it. When it has none, you see a ceiling and a note that the term is under Apple's floor.
- Difficulty you can check
- A score from 0 to 100 built from the live top 10: top app ratings, exact name matches, competing apps and recent updates. The inputs sit next to the score.
- Ranks over time
- Track ranks by country. You get an alert when your app leaves the top 10, or falls 10 or more places inside the top 50.
- Noise filtered out
- Terms where no top 10 app uses any of the words are flagged, so you skip searches Apple fills with unrelated apps.
- More from your own data
- Keyword ideas mined from reviews, a listing optimizer that drafts with your AI key, Apple Ads terms next to organic ranks with impression share, tags, notes and Astro CSV import.
Questions
Does it show search volume?
No. Apple does not publish search volume. You see Apple's popularity score when Apple has one, and a ceiling when it does not.
How is difficulty worked out?
From the live App Store top 10 for the keyword and country: ratings of the top 5 apps (55%), exact name matches (20%), how many apps compete (15%) and how many were updated in the last 120 days (10%).
Do I need an Apple Ads account?
Only for Apple's popularity score and Apple Ads suggestions. Difficulty, ranks and autocomplete ideas work without one.
Can I bring my keywords from Astro?
Yes. Import an Astro CSV export. Your keywords, notes and tags come across.
